Beautifully illustrated with engraved title, full-page
frontispiece engraving of Aesop on the verso of "To the
Reader" leaf, engraved plate of the coat of arms of the Earl of
Devonshire, thirty (of thirty-one, without the suppressed plate, No. 17)
engraved plates by Thomas Dudley after Francis Barlow illustrating the
life of Aesop, and 110 engravings in the text.
Hinge repair to upper cover, reinforcement to gutter of first few
leaves, interior exceptionally clean and bright.
